My name is Cheryl Wright, and I've been an IM (internet marketer) for about nine years now. The first few years I was doing this, I paid out literally thousands of dollars to buy products and software to run my business. To start with I didn’t even try to onsell any of the products to other marketers, simply because I didn’t understand I could.

I had this mindset that paying monthly fees for product membership sites was a waste of money and not something I could afford to do.

It took a while, but I finally learned I couldn't afford not to belong to such sites.

You see, before I did this, I was literally paying hundreds of dollars every month to buy the products I needed. As a result, I rarely made a profit on my internet businesses. (Sound familiar?)

Since I joined the ranks of those paying for membership sites, it's become quite rare for me to buy individual products. That’s because my memberships provide the majority of the products I previously purchased.

(I joined one site literally days after paying out a high price for a product, only to find it in the member’s area. I would have saved over $60 had I joined a few days earlier.)

With that in mind, I've written reviews of a few membership sites below - all sites where I am a paid member, and therefore have first-hand information.

Each site is different and therefore fulfils a different need in my online businesses.

REVIEW OF The Unselfish Marketer

I've been a member of The Unselfish Marketerfor over five years now, and quite frankly, I find this site so good that I always pay my fees a year in advance. I NEVER want to be locked out, because if you cancel your subscription, you can't get back inside for six months. That's to make it fair for other members.

Basically it stops people cancelling, then going back a month or so down the track and downloading everything without having paid consistently. Nothing is ever removed from this site, and therefore you have access to everything that has ever been added.

JayKay Bak (aka The Unselfish Marketer) is the owner of this site, and I can honestly say he is one of the most honest and reputable people I've ever met on the internet.

Products are added every other day, and the majority come with MRR or PLR. On rare occasions you'll only get RR, and that's simply because of the license available. Other products may come with a user licence.

Don't disregard these at all, because quite often those user licenses can be worth up to $97, and often more. You also get free (but premium level) membership into heaps of other sites that cost a fortune for non-members.

Add free (massive) hosting and autoresponders to the mix, and you get way more than your money's worth each month.

Do you know what the most searched for word on the internet is? Free. Yep, free.

Offer something free and people will visit your site in droves. Set up free courses and they'll join your list almost without thinking.

On another site I own I've built a list of over 6,800 subscribers almost solely by using free courses. I have my autoresponders set up in such a way that subscribers to my free courses are (knowingly) also added to my newsletter list automatically.

For this very reason, I have multiple courses running all the time. One course alone has over 2,000 subscribers. You'll never guess what it teaches. How to write short stories.

I recently discovered my site was #1 in Google for the term 'free online courses for writers'. Very nice.

Supplying free courses on a subject related to your website is an excellent way to get people to your site, as well as on your lists.

We all know the best way to make money on the internet is to build a list. Once you've captured your visitor's details, you can sell to them over and over again.

Many marketers are not good at writing, and outsourcing to writers can be costly.

Owned by Lisa Cope, this site delivers a brand-new newsletter pack each month. The packs cover a large variety of niches, and you can be up and running in no time.

Each month you receive a set of 'lessons' to add to your autoresponder. These are set up to send out to your subscribers at regular intervals decided by you. Each set contains twelve lessons, clickbank adverts (along with affiliate links - just add your Clickbank ID) to include with your lessons, opening and closing paragraphs, and alternative titles.

You also receive an extremely professional squeeze page, thank you page, and all the relevant graphics.

I'm not really sure why it's called PLR Newsletters, because they are really autoresponder courses, but can very easily be used as newsletter articles.

I've been a member for several years now - so long I don't remember how long it's been!

Do you know what I mean? Reports you can brand with your affiliate links. Viral reports.

You give them away to as many people as possible, and when they buy through links in the reports, you earn a passive income.

I can't begin to tell you how many thousands of dollars I've earned this way. Love it!

Better yet, when it's totally free, there's even more benefit. I only recently found this website, and joined immediately.

When using viral reports have to be careful about the quality of the reports you are distributing. These are high quality reports, covering some highly sought-after information.
