In internet marketing circles GetResponse comes a VERY close second to Aweber, having similar features and very competitive reliability while offering more affordable email marketing services and being simpler to use (great for non-techies like us). GetResponse charges $18 per month for up to 500 subscribers compared to Aweber who charge $19 per month for 500 subscribers or $69 per month for 10,000. Bottom line: HUGE saving for you! See price comparison chart below

Note: The prices above are monthly subscription costs based on a month by month subscription. Significant savings are available by subscribing for longer periods. For example a 12 month subscription with Aweber costs US$190 for up to 500 subscribers, GetResponse costs US$145 for 12 months for up to 500 subscribers.

Once again, Getresponse has the upper hand on price since they allow you to pre-pay for up to 1 year for larger lists. Unlike Aweber who only allow you to pre-pay for up to 500 subscribers. Take a look at the table below for the yearly costs for each size list.

After using both the above autoresponders for many years, I have now purchased my own.  

Autoresponse Plus is installed on your own hosting, and there are no recurring fees.  You pay once, and that’s it. No more monthly charges, no extra fees when your list grows. 

And… you can import subscribers from other autoresponder services.  There’s no one there to say they are not double opt in, or to reject any subscribers.  You control your lists.  Totally. 

You have unlimited autoresponders, and unlimited subscribers.  And it’s easy to use.  In fact, it has some terrific extras you won’t get with the big name autoresponders. 

* Autoresponse Plus has been around for ten years, so this is not something new to be wary about. 

As mentioned above, I’ve used both Aweber and Get Response.  I loved them both, but not the fees I paid.  Autoresponse Plus costs a one-off fee which for us, was less than one year’s fees for the other services.
